Noah Glenn

about

Noah Glenn's music has been called "a brave brand of progressive pop with an organic indie-pop familiarity that is both reminiscent and radical.” It is equal parts past, present, and future, drawing on the pop and rock of 60s yet twisting it into something new and inventive. It sounds as close to the Beach Boys as it does to Beck. Noah is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer who pastes together collages of sound by blending the familiar sounds of guitars, drums, and rich vocal harmonies with with instruments that are not-quite-standard rock-n-roll fare, such as glockenspiel, mandolin, woodwinds, clavinet, melodica banjo - or whatever else is on hand. His music is somehow able to experiment with shifting time signatures and occasionally slip into dissonance while always remaining undeniably catchy. When Noah takes the stage with his band, the Cloudspotters, they ground him firmly in the world of rock and roll to provide a fun and exciting performance that is never stale.

Noah writes, performs, and records all his own music, with occasional contributions from friends. He has been featured on npr.org's Second Stage program and in Performer magazine.

He also works as a freelance audio engineer and composer. For a production resumé click this link: Resumé.
